Join us for a fas­ci­nat­ing day of great films and infor­ma­tive dis­cus­sions. The Fri­day Har­bor Film Fes­ti­val has select­ed the “Best of the Fest” from its 2016 Film Fes­ti­val. All the films to be screened high­light the ben­e­fits of tak­ing risks, of step­ping out of your com­fort zone. Each film will be fol­lowed with 15–20 min­utes of Q & A, either with the film­mak­er or an expert on the sub­ject of the film.

In addi­tion to the FILMS, the full-day event will include,

  • Breaks with Snacks twice dur­ing the day,
  • A break­fast buf­fet will be avail­able for the morn­ing pro­gram and
  • A film­mak­er recep­tion will be includ­ed in the after­noon pro­gram

Cost:

  • Morn­ing pro­gram (3 films, break­fast and snack break) — $30 per per­son; 8:00 am check-in
  • After­noon pro­gram (3 films, snack break and recep­tion) — $35 per per­son; 1:15 pm check-in
  • Full day (all films, 2 snack breaks, break­fast and recep­tion) — $65 per per­son

  • 9:15 am; Tam­ing Wild; Q & A with Elsa Sin­clair, film­mak­er
  • 10:15 am; The Trees, grow­ing a for­est for ground zero; Q & A with Scott Elliott, Film­mak­er
  • 11:30 am; short break, bev­er­ages and snacks avail­able
  • 11:45 am; Hai­da Gwaii, on the edge of the world; Q & A with Mary Mor­ris, long time researcher of the area
  • 1:15–2:30 pm; LUNCH BREAK and check in for after­noon pro­gram
  • 2:30 pm; In the Land of the Great Bear; Q & A with Mary Mor­ris
  • 3–5 pm; The Last Man on the Moon; Q & A with Mark Craig, film­mak­er
  • 5–5:15 pm; short break bev­er­ages and snacks avail­able
  • 5:15–6:45 pm; Babushkas of Cher­nobyl, Q & A with Hol­ly Mor­ris, Direc­tor
  • 6:45 pm; RECEPTION WITH ALL THE FILMMAKERS AND ATTENDEES
