Director: Lucian Reed

The meaning of Mni Wiconi is “water is life.”  This compelling film documents the first eight months of the efforts of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and their allies from across the country to peacefully demonstrate on behalf of clean water and environmental protection, as they attempt to stop construction of the 1,100-mile Dakota Access Pipeline that threatens the health of the mighty Missouri River.
