The Tree That Would Not Be Broken

The Tree That Would Not Be BrokenThe Tree That Would Not Be Broken (directed by Scott Elliott) is an extremely touching segment of The Trees, an hour-long documentary about the creation of New York City’s National September 11th Memorial Park. A lone tree that survived the horrific blast is removed from the destroyed Trade Center site, nurtured and then moved back to be the centerpiece of the new “green roof” garden.
