The Tree That Would Not Be Broken (directed by Scott Elliott) is an extremely touching segment of The Trees, an hour-long documentary about the creation of New York City’s National September 11th Memorial Park. A lone tree that survived the horrific blast is removed from the destroyed Trade Center site, nurtured and then moved back to be the centerpiece of the new “green roof” garden.
