Wildlife Detectives: The Poaching of Puget Sound

Wildlife-Detectives2Wildlife Detectives: The Poaching of Puget Sound (directed by Katie Campbell) tells the true story of the fight to shut down down one of the most lucrative black markets for wildlife on the West Coast. Poachers in nearby waters are cashing in on the soaring worldwide demand for clams, mussels, oysters and geoducks by illegally harvesting and selling them in back-alley deals — an enterprise that has tragic consequences for both public health and the marine ecosystem. Unfortunately, as detectives quickly learn, cheating the system is much easier than policing it.
