Double Your Impact: Support FHFF in the 2023 SJICF Fair Giving Campaign!

Friday Harbor Film Festival (FHFF) is thrilled to announce our participation in the 2023 San Juan Island Community Foundation's (SJICF) County Fair Giving Campaign! The campaign runs during the San Juan County Fair and ends on Saturday, August 19th. This is a wonderful opportunity for community members to support our year-round programs, as well as the annual In-Theatre and On-Demand Festivals happening this October.
FHFF’s Best of the Fest for Islanders
Our festival isn't just for a weekend—it’s a free, year-round film series for our local community. In partnership with the San Juan Island Library and the San Juan Island Grange, we present prize-winning films from January to September. These events come with costs, including venue rental, promotion, filmmaker travel, equipment, and staffing.
FHFF hosted Haida artist Robert Davidson and Director Charles Wilkinson for a weekend of events and screening of the documentary film, HAIDA MODERN in collaboration with SJIMA and Griffin Bay Books as part of FHFF's Best of the Fest FREE monthly series.

How to Donate
To donate, visit the SJICF booth at the County Fair, or donate online, by email, regular mail, or over the phone. The Community Foundation will match the first $1,000 donated dollar-for-dollar, so your contribution will have double the impact!

About the SJICF Fair Giving Campaign
The Community Foundation connects islanders with nonprofits they care about, fostering a stronger, more resilient community. You can donate online during the Fair or in person at the SJICF fair booth inside the Main Building at the Fairgrounds. Alternatively, call SJICF at 360-378-1001 or mail a check payable to SJICF (dated between Aug. 16–19) with the name of the nonprofit in the memo line to P.O. Box 1352, Friday Harbor, WA 98250. All donated funds and matching funds will be granted to participating nonprofits following the County Fair.
