6-Pack and Day Passes go on sale Sunday, August 16. Patron and All-Access are on sale now.
The 2026 FHFF Selection Committee has just completed this year's selections — drawn from 165 FilmFreeway submissions and more than 200 documentary films reviewed and considered in all. We are excited about what we've assembled. And to everyone who has already purchased a Patron or All-Access Pass during our Early Bird period: thank you. Your early support is what lets the Friday Harbor Film Festival lock in venues, bring filmmakers to San Juan Island, and build this program.

August 16–23: Every Pass Type, Every Discount
From Saturday, August 15 through Sunday, August 23, all four pass types are on sale at Early Bird pricing:
Patron and All-Access Pass Early Bird pricing is extended through August 23
6-Pack Passes and Day Passes join the lineup at a special limited-time discounted rate— available at this price only during this window.
On Monday, August 24, all pass types go to full price.
This is a genuinely limited offer. Only a set number of passes at each tier are available at the discounted rate, and once they're gone, they're gone — regardless of the date.
6-Pack and Day Passes go on sale Sunday, August 16 at the rates below. All Friday Harbor Film Festival passes are available at fhff.eventive.org/passes/buy; Patron and All-Access are on sale now at extended Early Bird pricing.

New for 2026: Free Museum Admission for Every Passholder
The 14th Annual Friday Harbor Film Festival runs October 22–25, 2026 — and this year it reaches beyond the screen.

In an expanded collaboration with the San Juan Islands Museum of Art, every FHFF passholder — any pass type — receives free admission to SJIMA from Friday, October 23 through Monday, October 26. The partnership brings documentary film, photography, and the visual arts together across the festival weekend.
It begins on Thursday, October 22, with a free opening night screening at the Palace Theatre. The film's director — who is also the guest curator of the companion exhibition at SJIMA — will be in attendance for a Q&A immediately following the film. From there, the evening moves up the hill: everyone is invited to walk through the galleries at a special after-hours event at SJIMA, with the filmmaker and guest curator mingling among the crowd.
The opening night film is free, but reserved seating tickets are required. Passholders can reserve seats during their exclusive seating windows below; individual reservations open October 4 with general ticketing, if the event hasn't sold out.
More details on the film, the filmmaker, and the exhibition coming soon.
Why Buying Friday Harbor Film Festival Passes Now Matters: Reserved Seating
Every pass purchased before single-ticket sales begin comes with the ability to reserve specific seats for the films you want, in advance of general ticketing on October 4. Passholders choose first. Everyone else chooses from what's remaining.
There's also a way into that first reserved seating window without buying a pass: our Filmmaker Hosts. Islanders who open a qualified guest space to a visiting filmmaker receive two Patron Passes — and the first reserved seating window, alongside our Patron passholders. We are accepting Filmmaker Host applications now, and housing slots are limited. Learn more and apply by clicking HERE.

Four days. Documentary films from around the world. Filmmakers in the room for the Q&A. A museum weekend woven through it.
Entertain. Inspire. Enlighten.
See you at the movies!
